Ingredients
• 1 ½ cups Basmati rice.
• 2 tablespoon Oil.
• 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds.
• Asafoetida a pinch.
• 6 Curry leaves.
• 1 teaspoon Ginger paste.
• 4 Whole dry red chillies.
• 5 Cashew nuts pieces.
• 1 teaspoon Split black gram.
• 1 teaspoon
Chana dal.
• 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
• 1 ½ tablespoon
Lemon juice.
• Salt to taste.
• 2 tablespoon Cilantro leaves finely sliced.
Preparation Method
1. First Soak rice in four to five cups of water for about 30 minutes.
2. Drain and then cook in four cups of boiling salted water until almost done.
3. Now Drain and keep aside.Heat oil in a shallow pan and Add mustard seeds and when
they being to crackle add asafoetida, curry leaves, ginger paste, dry red chilles,
cashewnuts, urad dal, chana dal and turmeric powder.

4. And Sauté for a few seconds till the dals change colour and Add one tablespoon of
water, lemon juice and salt. Simmer for two minutes and then add rice.Toss to mix well
