Malabar Fish Curry

                Serves : 2-4

     Ingredients
 • 1/4kg ( 5 pieces) Fish (any type)
 • 3 teaspoon Chilli powder
 • 1 teaspoon Ginger(Chopped)
 • 1 Tomato
 • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
 • small piece, soaked in waterTamarind
 • 3 (optional) shallot
 • 2 teaspoon Coconut oil
 • 2 strands Curry leaves
  FOR GRINDING:
 • 2 cup Grated Coconut
 • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
 • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder 


     Preparation Method
1. First Marinate the fish with turmeric,chilli powder and salt for 20 minutes.
  Grind together coconut,cumin and turmeric powder with little water to smooth paste
  and Heat a clay pot and add ginger,shallot, sliced tomato and the ground coconut paste,
  Add water and boil it.

2. Now Add the marinated fish.cover and cook it on low flame till the fish pieces are
  done and the gravy becomes thick and Add 2 tablespoon of tamarind water and boil it.
  Adjust the salt.
3. Switch off the stove and Add curry leaves and pour 1teaspoon of coconut oil on top 
  of it.   
    :: Serve with White rice or Ragi Sangati ::
